CBC Radio Talks with Hilary Black: Dive into the Future of Medical Cannabis
Many Canadians are curious about medical cannabis and whether it can help manage their symptoms. Yet, lots of people say they don’t know what to buy or how to use it. A recent one-hour call-in on Cross Talk, a CBC Radio show in Newfoundland & Labrador, covered the topic of using medical cannabis for health reasons.
Her expert guest was Hilary Black, Director of Patient Education and Advocacy at Spectrum Therapeutics. From her beginnings as an advocate for the use of cannabis as medicine for patients in Vancouver and one of the founders of the BC Compassion Club Society in 1997, Ms. Black has helped educate thousands of people. She is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Award, acknowledging her significant contribution to Canadian society for her work with medical cannabis.
In addition to general information about safety, dosing, and methods of consuming medical cannabis, Hilary answers audience questions about the potential role of medical cannabis for veterans living with PTSD, in cancer, sleep disorders, and much more.
